General Pediatrics
Pediatrics is the primary medicine division dedicated to the treatment of babies, infants, and adolescents. A pediatrician is usually a child's doctor who provides preventive health protection for healthy children and medical care for acute or chronically sick children. They are also engaged in supplying healthy children with the preventive measure and medical treatment for the sick and ill. This broad medical subspecialty treats infections, injuries, genetic abnormalities, disorders and dysfunctions. Pediatricians are doctors who practice in the area of pediatrics. Pediatric care provides a wide variety of healthcare programs ranging from prevention to acute and chronic illness diagnosis and treatment of children from birth to young adulthood.
